Outreach Ministries

The Grant Women’s Missionary Society
Is a church wide organization of the AMEC made up of women who are called to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ through service and witness in the world by supporting the mission of the church, and helping one another engage in ministry through action and growth.

Meeting date and time: Every 4th Saturday of the month at 11 am.

The Lay Organization
Is commissioned to teach, train and empower its members for lay ministry, global leadership and service following the tenets of Jesus Christ. It also instills in its membership a love and appreciation for the history, tradition and principles of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Meeting date and time: Every 4th Saturday of the month at 10am.

Sankofa Community Garden
Promotes urban agriculture, healthy eating, and entrepreneurship through the planting, caring for, and harvesting of organic produce. The garden is used as a resource for joining community stakeholders in service to south Minneapolis and training church and community youth in the same.
